​Stay Home Services is devoted to providing compassionate and reliable non-medical care for the elderly, as well as disabled adults and children, allowing your loved one to stay safe and happy in their own home. Whether it's short or long term care you need, we provide care just like a family member would, offering an extra pair of helping hands. Whether you are recovering from surgery and need temporary help or you need longer-term care to stay comfortably in your own home, Stay Home Services will tailor a plan to meet your specific needs. Personal one-on-one care provides a higher quality of life than any facility, group home or resident home can provide. We offer daily, weekly, overnight and 24/7 care depending on your particular situation.


Many times, our parents or loved ones live in a different city and we worry about them when we can't be there in person

​to help when needed. You can rely on Stay Home Services to provide dependable compassionate caregivers who truly have a passion for serving others. In addition to companionship, we can also assist with

transportation to appointments; errand running; meal preparation; and light

housekeeping...whatever you need to stay in your own home! In addition to in-home care,

we can also provide care in assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, rehab

centers or even in a hospital setting. We are on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

OUR HISTORY:

Stay Home Services is locally owned and operated, serving seniors in Muskogee and surrounding areas. Stay Home Services was started in 2001 by Susan Asquith in Muskogee, Oklahoma when she realized there was an enormous lack of services for seniors who needed help remaining in their own homes. Although Susan passed away in late 2021, the company continues to be locally owned and operated, with the same wonderful employees serving its clients.

We want to know all about you, including your physical needs, medical conditions and personality so that we can match you with the perfect caregiver. We will meet with you and your family and fully explain the services we offer and answer any questions so that you can make this important decision.

CAREGIVERS:

 Our caregivers are thoroughly interviewed, screened, background-checked, bonded and insured so you know your loved ones are in caring hands. We make every effort to send the caregiver with whom you are familiar. If your regular caregiver is unable to work a scheduled shift due to vacation, illness or some other emergency, we will do everything possible to find a suitable substitute. Naturally, we will keep you informed of any changes.

We're often asked: Why shouldn't I just hire someone on my own?  Well, there are several reasons why we strongly suggest that you don't do this, as there are a number of personal risks you take:


      First of all, this caregiver will not be bonded should any of your valuables turn up missing. They will most likely not be insured for professional or general liability, so if things go awry, you have no recourse. If they were to injure themselves lifting or working in your home, you may be responsible for their medical treatment and lost income, since they are probably not covered by workers compensation insurance. Additionally, if the worker is not reporting the income, you may be held liable for payroll taxes by the government. You could additionally be held liable for unemployment benefits should you ever terminate that caregiver. If your caregiver becomes ill, goes on vacation or needs time off, would you be able to find another caregiver on short notice?  And lastly, you don't have any guarantee that they are properly trained to provide professional, caring and trustworthy service to you or your loved one.
